Summer Crew & Courtesy Patrol ($17 / Hour)

Estimated Hours Per Week:

  • 6-18 Hours per Week

Responsibilities

  • Light housekeeping/cleaning services (such as vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows, bathrooms, etc.)
  • Moving and assembling beds and other furnishings
  • Completing various tasks upon request of supervisors
  • Performing community walks around the Tropicana Properties mostly in the evening ranging from 9PM till 2AM
  • Enforcing Tropicana Policies
  • Providing a secure environment for the campers of Tropicana
  • Other duties as assigned

Estimated Hours Per Week:

  • 6-18 Hours per Week

Responsibilities

  • Assist with check-in/check-out
  • Sorting mail and logging packages
  • Input maintenance requests
  • Assign guest parking passes
  • Calling maintenance or RA on duty in case of emergencies
  • Answering phone and transferring calls
  • Reserving community room spaces and assigning resources such as vacuums, rec room equipment, etc.
  • Receiving payments
  • Creating keys, such as new keys/lockouts/one-shot keys
  • Opening and closing shift duties
  • Other duties as assigned


Leasing Specialist ($15/hour)

Estimated Hours Per Week:

  • 6-18 Hours per Week

Responsibilities

  • Give informative and friendly property tours of Tropicana Gardens and Tropicana Del Norte residence halls and Tropicana Villas upperclassmen apartments.
  • Be knowledgeable about leasing information, which includes pricing and contracts for all three properties – Tropicana Gardens, Tropicana Del Norte and Tropicana Villas.
  • Answer leasing calls and live chats with the ability to quickly answer questions, look up information, provide “tour” over the phone with ability to give “visual” to caller.
  • The normal shift is 10:00am to 6:00pm, every day and schedule may vary depending on need, and can be scheduled in blocks of time by approval of Director of Leasing. The schedule may change according to the department demands.

Student Maintenance Worker ($17/hour)

Estimated Hours Per Week:

  • 6-18 Hours per Week

Responsibilities:

  • Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment, and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
  • Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
  • Plumbing: Identifies and performs basic plumbing especially plunging a toilet or shower; Does NOT use power snake;
  • Painting: Applies paint for graffiti coverage.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Maintains grounds in clean and orderly manner.
  • Accomplishes other tasks as may be required and assigned by Director of Facilities and Housekeeping
  • Other Duties Assigned

Cafe Attendant ($15/hour)

Estimated Hours Per Week:

  • 6-18 Hours per Week

Responsibilities Objective/Summary:

  • Responsible for monitoring the entry and exit of patrons into the café.
  • Monitoring patrons as they enter and their meal plan access into the café, as well as their proper attire for entry.
  • Monitoring patrons as they exit the café to ensure they are only leaving with one piece of fruit or dessert item and not with dishware or silverware.
  • Maintaining a clean and inviting dining area for our patrons
  • Wiping down tables
  • Clearing away dirty dishes
  • Sweeping/moping
  • Adhere to all management, client, local and state cleaning and sanitation procedures/regulations.
  • Assist with food preparation as required/in the absence of other staff or as directed by the Chef.
  • All other duties as assigned (as directed and/or agreed upon with Chef or Manager).
